INFP - The Mediator

By Angebel Garcia

INFPs are something else. Their body and soul hold a complex, romanticized system. Mediators and artistically inclined, INFPs are quiet natured, hopeless romantics, and open minded.

INFPs are quite intense introverts but they have excellent composure around people aka are polite and have good manners. They become chatty when they grant themselves access to be. INFPs have a reserved, persistent, and gentle spirit. Their persistence is an odd external one, with force. One time I was washing cups at a restaurant job I had, and an INFP came to me saying “you can go do something else, I got it” I kinda just stood there… and did something else. Another INFP once asked to meet with me and was assertive with every hesitant answer I gave her. I remember when I worked at a doctor’s office, I observed an INFP coworker and an INFJ coworker. There was this understood introverted distance and energy that I kind of wanted to be a part of. LOL!

INFPs flip like pancakes when it comes to their romantic interest. One day they think the world of their partner. They’re talented in expressing how much they love them. Next, they doubt this is even supposed to be happening, even adding in that they have no interest in wanting to be with them anymore. INFPs are so good at the flip, they can convince their listener that they are done, only to flip the  switch by speaking highly of their partner again. Talk about confusion.

INFPs need connection. Without connection, they see and feel no meaning in relationships; however, it is not rare for an INFP to stay in a relationship that drains them. INFPs in their complex system may debate they “don't know how" to let go. INFPs are possibly the deeper feelers of all personality types.

INFPs care about their presentation and being misunderstood concerns them. INFPs are very big on morals; their biggest battle in life is being conflicted between what is right and their feelings. INFPs are nurturing, helpful and serving. One of my good friends is an INFP. When I told her I was not in a good mood, she was on the ball. She asked for details, before I could answer she sent me paragraphs of encouragement. She then called me, spoke more encouragement, and she then set me up in a Bible plan. INFPs jump!

INFPs are great listeners. They listen to different sides to stories, but remain cordial. So cordial, you’d never know they knew the other side to a story. INFPs are wise individuals, but do withhold from action as they are self-conscious of their presentation. The intuition they possess is generally used to romanticize life and out loud daydreaming. (Ex: Saying they are going to quit their job, when really they do not intend to.)

INFPs are one of the greatest galaxies to ever know.
